In autumn 2021, I was commissioned by both the Museum of Liverpool and GYRO to illustrate postcards. These postcards were based on responses that the participants at GYRO gave when asked what their favourite LGBTQ+ safe spaces in Liverpool were. The participants were also asked to give their best advice on self-care, which I was also asked to illustrate.
This project took a very long time but it was worth it! I had so much fun drawing the iconic Liverpool buildings on my iPad. This is because I specialise in drawing people rather than buildings, and I am more used to drawing traditionally than digitally, so I liked how the project brought me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to try new things!
