The Rights of the Talker for Sheffield Halam University

In 2024, I was commissioned by Abigail Hackett of Sheffield Hallam University to create artwork for The Rights of the Talker manifesto, which is the final chapter of the research book Language, Place and the Body in Childhood Literacies.

The publication explores young children’s language development and the importance of all forms of communication. My commission included a series of full-colour and black-and-white illustrations, as well as a set of postcards featuring the artwork and a poster bringing together the key points of The Rights of the Talker manifesto.
